Speech by His Excellency Hon. Innocent Mugovera

Introduction

Greetings, fellow citizens of Zimbabwe! As the leader of the Democratic Alliance of Zimbabwe, I'm honored to share with you our party's vision, values, and ideology. While our context may differ, our commitment to democracy, freedom, and prosperity unites us.

Core Values

1. Democracy: We believe in the power of the people, by the people, and for the people. Our party is committed to democratic principles, ensuring that every citizen's voice is heard through:

  • Free and fair elections
  • Representative government
  • Citizen participation in decision-making processes

2. Freedom: We champion individual liberties, promoting an environment where citizens can thrive without undue restrictions. This includes:

  • Freedom of speech and expression
  • Freedom of assembly and association
  • Protection of individual rights and freedoms

3. Accountability: Transparency and accountability are essential in our governance model. We strive for openness and honesty in all our dealings through:

  • Independent oversight institutions
